Both are supported. Text watermarks can be customized for font size, color and opacity; image watermarks accept a logo or graphic with adjustable opacity. Add one or the other to a document, and the watermark applies across every page in a single pass.

Can I apply different watermarks to different pages or sections?

Yes. Type the pages in Pages, like 2-5, 8, and the watermark goes on those pages only. To mark sections differently, DRAFT on one chapter and FINAL on another, run it once for each section with its own pages.

Can a watermark be removed from a PDF?

A watermark is drawn into the page content, so it can't be switched off the way an annotation can but it isn't tamper-proof. Someone with a PDF editor can remove or obscure it. Watermarks work as a deterrent and an ownership marker, not as security. To control access, password-protect the file; to remove content entirely, redact it.

How do I add a DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL stamp to a PDF?

Type the word you need “DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL, VOID, PAID, COPY” set a large font size, and lower the opacity to around 20–30% so it sits behind your text without obscuring it. Apply it and every page carries the stamp. Lower opacity keeps the document readable while the status stays unmistakable.

Will the watermark appear on every page?

By default, yes. Your watermark applies across the whole document, so a hundred-page report takes one pass. To mark only part of a file, type those pages in Pages, like 1 or 2-5.

Does adding a watermark reduce quality or increase file size?

No meaningful change. A text watermark adds almost nothing to file size, and an image watermark adds roughly the size of the image once. Your existing pages aren't re-rendered or re-compressed, so text stays selectable and images keep their resolution.
