Yes. Every tool is available on the free plan with no feature restrictions, limited only by file size and a daily task cap of 10. You don't need an account or a credit card to start. Paid plans lift the daily limit, raise file size limits, and add cloud storage.
Do I need to create an account to use FynePDF?
No account is required to use most tools. You can start working on your PDFs right away. Creating a free account unlocks your personal document library, cloud storage, and saves your usage history.
Does FynePDF work on all devices?

Is FynePDF safe to use?
Yes. FynePDF uses 256-bit TLS encryption for all file transfers, and files are stored on AWS S3 with enterprise-grade encryption at rest. Files processed through a tool are deleted 15 minutes after processing unless you save them to your library. We never read, sell, or share the contents of your documents.
Does FynePDF use my documents to train AI models?
No. Your documents are never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. FynePDF's AI features run on the Google Gemini API, and your files are sent only to produce the output you requested. Nothing is retained for training.
How long does FynePDF keep my files?
Files processed through a tool are automatically deleted 15 minutes after processing. If you save a file to your library, it stays there as long as your account is active. Free accounts keep files up to 100MB indefinitely, with no expiry.
Are my files processed in my browser or on your servers?
It depends on the tool. Annotate, Sign, Redact, and Add Watermark run entirely in your browser, so those files never leave your device. Tools that need heavier processing, such as Compress, OCR, and the conversion and AI tools, upload over an encrypted connection and are deleted 15 minutes after processing.
Does anyone at FynePDF read my documents?
No. Your files are processed automatically and no member of our team reads, opens, or reviews their contents. Documents are not analyzed for any purpose beyond producing the output you asked for.
Can I delete my files and my account?
Yes. You can delete individual files from your library at any time, and deleting your account from account settings takes effect immediately, permanently removing your stored files. There is no waiting period and no recovery window, so download anything you want to keep first.
Is FynePDF GDPR compliant?
Yes. FynePDF is built with privacy in mind and complies with GDPR requirements, including your right to access and erase your data. FynePDF runs on the Google Gemini API, always the latest available model. We chose Gemini for its native PDF handling, which reads document structure directly rather than converting to plain text first, and for its processing speed on long documents.
How accurate are FynePDF's AI results?
AI output is a strong starting point, not a guaranteed one. Summaries, comparisons, redaction suggestions, and agent feedback should be reviewed before you rely on them for anything consequential, particularly legal, medical, or financial decisions. Always verify AI-generated results against the source document.
What are FynePDF AI Agents?
AI Agents are specialized assistants built for a single document type. Do AI features require a paid plan?
No. Most AI tools work on the free plan with daily usage limits. Professional and Premium remove the daily cap and raise file size limits.
What languages does OCR support?
FynePDF's OCR is built on PaddleOCR and supports 109 languages. That covers major global languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and the Latin scripts, plus complex scripts like Arabic, Thai, Hindi (Devanagari), and Russian (Cyrillic).
What is the difference between Free, Professional, and Premium?
Free gives you access to every tool with a 10-task daily limit and 500MB of storage. Professional is $10/month or $7/month billed annually, and removes the daily limit while adding 5GB of storage and higher file size limits. Premium is $20/month or $15/month billed annually, and adds priority processing, 15GB of storage, and 24/7 priority support. Enterprise offers custom limits for larger teams.
Do you offer a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing saves you up to 30%. Professional drops from $10/month to $7/month billed annually, and Premium drops from $20/month to $15/month.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel from your account settings at any time, with no cancellation fees and no lock-in contract. Cancelling stops the next renewal but doesn't end your plan immediately, so you keep full access and your plan limits until the end of your current billing period. After that, your files stay accessible for 15 days so you can download anything you need.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. Refund requests are always welcome and can be submitted through the Paddle customer portal at paddle.net, using the email address you subscribed with.
Can I use FynePDF for commercial or client work?
Yes. There are no restrictions on how you use FynePDF, on any plan including Free. Freelancers, agencies, businesses, and students are all welcome to use it for client work, commercial projects, or anything else.
Why is my file not uploading?
The three most common causes are: the file exceeds the size limit for your plan, the format isn't supported, or the PDF is password protected. For a protected PDF, run it through the Unlock tool first. If none of those apply, try a different browser or check your connection.
Can I process password protected PDFs?
Yes. Use the Unlock tool to remove the password before processing. You'll need to know the current password. The password is used only to decrypt the file during that session and is never stored or logged.
What do I do if a tool fails or gives a wrong result?
For damaged or corrupted PDFs, run the Repair tool first, then retry. For AI tools, try re-uploading the file, since incomplete uploads are the most common cause. If the problem persists, contact support.
