Cursor
Add the FynePDF MCP server to Cursor in one click, or by editing mcp.json.
One click
Cursor opens, shows the server and asks you to install it. The first time a tool needs your account, it opens fynepdf.com to sign in.
By hand
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (every project) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):
{
"mcpServers": {
"fynepdf": {
"url": "https://api.fynepdf.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Use it
In Cursor's agent chat:
- "Generate a PDF of this README with the report template."
- "Convert docs/spec.pdf to Markdown and save it next to it."
- "Compress assets/brochure.pdf to under 1 MB."
For files on your disk, the agent uploads them through upload_file, which returns an upload link it can PUT the file to.
In CI or your own scripts
Use an API key as a bearer token instead of signing in:
{
"mcpServers": {
"fynepdf": {
"url": "https://api.fynepdf.com/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:FYNEPDF_API_KEY}" }
}
}
}
