# Cursor

Add the FynePDF MCP server to Cursor in one click, or by editing mcp.json.

Cursor opens, shows the server and asks you to install it. The first time a tool needs your account, it opens fynepdf.com to sign in.

## By hand

Add this to `~/.cursor/mcp.json` (every project) or `.cursor/mcp.json` (one project):

## Use it

In Cursor's agent chat:

- "Generate a PDF of this README with the report template."
- "Convert docs/spec.pdf to Markdown and save it next to it."
- "Compress assets/brochure.pdf to under 1 MB."

For files on your disk, the agent uploads them through `upload_file`, which returns an upload link it can `PUT` the file to.

## In CI or your own scripts

Use an [API key](https://fynepdf.com/developers/docs/authentication) as a bearer token instead of signing in:
