# Claude Code

Add the FynePDF MCP server to Claude Code with one command.

## Add it

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http fynepdf https://api.fynepdf.com/mcp
```

Add `--scope user` to have it in every project, or `--scope project` to share it through the repo's `.mcp.json`. Then run `/mcp` in Claude Code and choose FynePDF to sign in.

## With an API key

For scripts and CI, skip the sign-in and send an [API key](https://fynepdf.com/developers/docs/authentication):

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http fynepdf https://api.fynepdf.com/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $FYNEPDF_API_KEY"
```

## Use it

- "Make a PDF of docs/guide.md with the report template and put it in dist/."
- "Compress every PDF in ./scans to under 2 MB."
- "Extract the line items from invoices/*.pdf into a CSV."

Claude Code uploads local files through `upload_file` and downloads results to your disk.
